Our goal is to provide you with a travel experience that you will remember for the rest of your life; an experience that is tailored to your own personal needs and completely immerses you in the life and culture of the magical places we visit. As a small company with such highly experienced guides, we are lucky to be able to access regions and experiences that are out of the question for other, larger companies cannot. As such, Dreamtreks offers the traveller a completely unique experience on every adventure. The managing director is Geoff Metcalfe who brings more than 35 years of hiking and overseas travel experience together to offer clients an exciting and memorable holiday experience. Geoff accompanies many of the trips and we have experienced local guides at all destinations, each of whom make our clients feel safe, welcome and provide an unforgettable adventure.
Geoff Metcalfe - Managing Director Geoff's experience in travel is as much about being a traveller as being a travel guide. This has given him a wonderful insight in to the industry from both sides and allowed him to build a wealth of experience and contacts throughout the world. Geoff's travels have taken him all around Australia and the world for the past 40 years. He has now specialised adventure travel such as trekking, hiking and walking tours but can mix it with the best of them in five star luxury in some of the greatest cities in the world. Dreamtreks tours are the embodiment of Geoff's wealth of knowledge and experience.
Ang Tshering Lama - Nepal & Tibet Ang has been guiding visitors through Nepal, Tibet and the Indian Himalaya for over 20 years. Ang's passion for the mountains, people and culture led to him leaving his career as an engineer and becoming a full-time guide. He has also trained and worked throughout the USA as a mountain guide, and has extensive mountaineering experience, being a part of the famous Khumbu Climbing Centre. Ang is the best possible person you could ever want as your Himalayan guide, and we are delighted to have him as a member of the Dreamtreks family.
Ulisse Riccio - Italy We have known our guide Ulisse since 2006 and he is part of the Dreamtreks family. He has been working as a hiking guide for 10 years, specialising in the area where he was born and raised (Naples and the Amalfi Coast). He is a member of the Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides (AIGAE) and incredibly knowledgeable on history. He is only too willing to accommodate any request you have. Dreamtreks is very privileged to have him as our guide on our Southern Italy tours.
Judith Cullen - New Zealand For anyone embarking on our adventures to New Zealand, you won't find a more passionate guide than Judith. Judith has been running cooking classes from her home in Dunedin for 18 years, taking advantage of the abundant produce of the region. She has also combined her love of food with her passion for travel by taking tours through Italy, and now New Zealand with Dreamtreks.
